Chris Byrd

Chris brings over 26 years of Clinical Operations and leadership experience to Actuate. Chris began his career at PAREXEL and has spent significant time at other CROs and has also served with sponsors such as Novartis, Abbott Laboratories, Schering Plough Research Institute (now Merck), Monopar Therapeutics, and Forest Laboratories (now AbbVie). Chris has experience in a wide range of therapeutic areas including Oncology, Cardiovascular, Neurological, Allergy/Immunology and Pulmonology. Chris is also a father of rare disease twins and spends his free time volunteering with organizations such as Make a Wish and the MDA. Chris has also started his own non-profit called The Vantasy Project hoping to assist families with children with neuromuscular diseases in acquiring accessible transportation. Chris holds a BA from the College of Arts and Sciences from Mississippi State University.
